We welcome medical students interested in joining us in our educational and clinical work.  We are committed to involving you in patient care in a manner that is respectful of you and our patients. 

Electives:

• Inpatient Family Medicine Service

• Community Health in Family Practice

• Other electives for third and fourth year  medical students at Hennepin County Medical Center include: 

Family Practice subinternship, Primary Care clerkship, Urban Community Ambulatory Medicine, Healthcare for the Underserved and Sports Medicine. There electives are available through our affiliation with the University of Minnesota. Contact Judy Hillstrom  (612) 624-0452 to find out about availability. 

• Brief "Medical Observerships" 

If your schedule allows you to visit for only a day or a week and you want to learn more about our program, contact Lynn at (612) 545-9222 to arrange a 'medical observership'. Students interested in learning more about our tracks can request time with the most involved faculty and residents.
